Irkutsk Airport -IKT

Russian airlines continue to modernize their fleets with often Western-built aircraft but the robust Antonov workhorses are still needed when infrastructure is sparse.  The history of Irkutsk airport dates back to the 1920s.  Nowadays the Siberian airport welcomes around one million annual passengers and has an international and a domestic terminal while acting as a hub airport for flights to more remote Siberian villages.
